Sunday Fun Day!

Good morning y'all! Today is going to be a beautiful day because the high temps today are only going to be 91! IT'S FAALLLL!!!! Well about as fall as Phoenix, AZ can get. I am going to be putting two different Linkups in here because well I love both of them! 

So let's start with Sunday Social First. 

1.) Favorite Month and Why? 

April because it is gorgeous every day, the heat hasn't started yet, and it is one month closer to my birthday. :) 

2.) Favorite Holiday and Why? 

Normally it is my birthday... but this year I am thinking it will be Christmas. I am just ready for it this year, like I know that it is going to be a good Christmas no matter what.

3.) Are you getting the new iPhone or are you more of an android person? 

Weeelll I do love my apple products, but part of me just isn't too impressed by the same old thing by Apple. Honestly, if I had to upgrade right now, I would be looking at a Windows phone. They are a little slow to the game when it comes to apps, but they are making some seriously great phones. Plus did you guys see that the new iPhones are bending in peoples pockets?? I mean that is the only spot I keep my phone! 

4.) Most thoughtful gift I have ever received from someone? 

It was more of an action rather than a gift. This year two of my closest friends snuck into my house before picking me up from the airport and decorated it for my birthday. And we threw a mini birthday party. 

5.) Something you can't wait to splurge on?

I would say my new Kitchen remodel! But if my boss has his way I will be moving up to the North Glendale area of the valley this next year. There is a 50/50 chance that he could get his way. hhhhmmmm so... Christmas decorations for my desk! I am changing them up this year, and since I will be at someone else's house for Christmas and I don't plan on putting up a tree at my house; so I might as well decorate somewhere.

1.) Buy Ghillie a new sweater. Explanation: Yes my dog wears sweaters, and NO it is not because I make him. He actually tries to find them when it start getting cold by rooting through his fabric bins. He gets so cold that his poor little teeth chatter, I mean you have to put something on him at that point. And he pretty much destroyed all of his sweaters from last year so I have to go buy more. And I have to buy them from the Kids section. not the dogs section, because he has broad shoulders.

2.) Repaint my Bathroom

3.) Carve a pumpkin

4.) Bake something new.

5.) Deep clean my house with the windows and doors open!

6.)Watch Hocus Pocus because it is the best halloween movie Ev-ER!

7.) Buy new bedding, including a fluffy comforter to keep me warm this winter.

8.) Buy more Pumpkin Cheesecake soy candles from Target and burn them whenever I am home.

Morning y'all. I hope everyone is having a better weekend than I am. Thanks to all of the pressure in the air, and the mass amounts of fur from the Motley Crew I am on day two of a severe migraine. But we did have some crazy rain this weekend! Thankfully my house and my housesitting house had nothing bad happen other than the dish went out. I can't say the same for some parts of the valley.

Anywho let's get social! 

1. What is your favorite magazine to read? 

I honestly don't read too many magazines, I have no subscriptions. But when I do buy them it is usually Domino, DoIt Yourself, and Elle Decor. 

2.What is the best thing you have seen online lately? 

I know everyone is probably picking this one... but this silly Harry Potter girl gives one powerful speech.

3.Who is your favorite celebrity to follow on Instagram or Twitter?

4. Is there one article of clothing no matter what season you can't help but buy? 

um.... Mossimo Red Tanks, because it pretty much works with Arizona's two seasons.

5. Do you prefer email or snail mail?

The majority of the time I prefer email. But I do like getting things other than bills in my mailbox, so snail mail is always fun to get.

Favorite Food:

Pizza! Almost any kind of pizza, but I prefer the authentic Italian pizza. I pay extra for good pizza rather than just ordering from Pizza Hut, because no one has time for bad pizza.

Favorite sound:

I have a problem with sounds, almost like my hearing is really too sensitive. But anything too high pitch makes me tear up, and repetitive noises make me agitated. But I love the sound of wind through trees or the waves rolling in on a beach. Something about that form of white noise is calming. I am one of those weirdo's who can sit in total silence and feel completely comfortable. Unless it is a bunch of people sitting around being silent, then it's awkward.

Well crap...... y'all don't realize how many pictures I have on my phone. But I can imagine that since all of us are bloggers we have a ton of pictures. I have a lot of favorites too. But I think this one of Ghillie is pretty darn priceless. 

Best memory of the year so far:

Driving down to Austin and getting to hang out with the guys from my company at an event. I am the office person, I never get to do stuff like that so it was an amazing experience. I wish I could have gone down when my boss was there, but such is life.

Now onto the social questions of the week! 

1. One item I wish I could splurge on right now. 

Well right now that would be a new AC unit. This last Wednesday mine decided to kill over again. So here I am at my grandparents waiting til they get home to fix it. But if my AC were working like it should, I would totally splurge on a complete kitchen remodel.  

2. If I had an entire.. ok I can't even finish this question because this is pretty much every weekend. A lot of the time if I have nothing to do I will just hang out, maybe do a movie marathon or maybe clean up the main portions or my house. My life is SO CRAY! 

3. Next place I am visiting outside of my current city. 

Well I would like to go up to Jerome or the Verde Valley to go to an AZ winery. It is always so gorgeous up there this time of year. 

4. Neat freak or clutterbug? 

Clutterbug, I am a total clutterbug. I try to not be but then life happens and next thing you know I have no clean dishes or laundry.

5. Favorite Summer Purchase? 

Dole's Chocolate covered Banana Dips thingy's. They are pretty darn tasty.  I haven't really purchased anything huge this summer.

Let me start by saying... My house sitting dogs did not appreciate the current weather that happened last night (and is still happening thus making it current) in Arizona and I ended up passing out on the couch pinned in by two of the smallest dogs that I watch. Literally I think that they are the tiniest out of them all. And while it was super adorbs to have both of them snuggled up to me because it made them feel better, all of that adorbs-ness went away when I woke up at 3:30a with a very numb ass, a painfully pinched shoulder, and a very full bladder. That may have been tmi, but my point is I am up and creating posts like a boss. A boss who is helped by coffee, lots of coffee.

3 favorite songs right now:

Bad Intentions by Niykee Heaton because the vocals are amazing.

Young Love by Jesse McCartney because who didn't love him growing up? That and it's fun to dance around to. 

And a complete 180- Master of Puppets by Metallica. My brother used to always play this one guitar solo and I couldn't figure out which song it belonged to until now. Plus it is like 8 minutes long and keeps you pumped when the rest of your body is cursing at you for attempting to work out. 

3 movies that remind me of summer:

Dirty Dancing, Sweet Home Alabama, and Mama Mia because all three were played at Scrapbooking Camp and we all knew the words by heart.

My jeans.

All of my Mossimo Red tank tops, I like to layer.

And a tattered old baton tank top that I have had for YEARS. It is extremely comfy now.

Well this may be the most depressing Sunday Social that I have ever done. As I was typing it, it made me instantaneously sad that a lot of this stuff I have never done or bothered to do. Time to get living!!! 

What has been the most difficult thing that I have been through? 

Instead of going through the entire story, I would like to direct you to this post. It has definitely been a pivotal moment in my life.

What was my best birthday? 

WWWEEELLLLLLLLL....... I haven't had the best birthday ever yet. this last one was full of drama, and the birthday before resulted in one of my BFF's ditching me and cabbing it home before the night was over because she drank to much and rode the mechanical bull. So the past few have not been winners. 

What has been the best thing that I have done in my city so far?

Well I think that now that I am exploring a little bit more by work, I think that going to some of the family restaurants has been the best little adventure. I definitely want to do more, but need to acquire friends who want to do more than just go to the dive bar and normal places. 

What is my idea of the perfect date night? 

I would say April 29th because it's not too hot and not too cold; all you need is a light jacket.

But in all seriousness, for me it would be going to  a new, funky restaurant, having a glass of wine, and talking at first. Then doing something weird like bowling or just something that we could enjoy. I may be getting a little classier than most guys want, but I think I am worth it in the end. 

Have I ever been to a blogging conference? 

UM HELLO!!! I get to go to my very first conference this next January at Blogcation. I get to finally meet my amazing roommates Tiffany, Heather, and Emily; and some of the other bloggers that I stalk! Plus, as an added bonus, there will be sand, beaches, and two pina coladas in each of my hands! (Girls please help me remember to get this picture!) This is going to be a trip to remember. I mean look at this beach!

What's up socialites! Hope everyone is attempting to have a peaceful weekend. I tried not to involve a lot of work into mine by almost completely disconnecting this weekend. I did however check my email and write this post. BUT! I did get to start and finish a book yesterday, while in the pool attempting to tan. I can proudly say that casper may not be jealous of my legs anymore... but sadly they look like little fat lobsters.... red, really red fat little lobsters. But they are no longer white, just stinging and hot to the touch.

This is a really hard freaking question, because it really depends on the situation. I mean I am all about survival so if I have to do something to live please don't think I won't go all Daryl Dixon on you guys. But given my cushy life right now... these are things that I wouldn't do at the moment.

-Purposefully kill another living thing (minus bugs). 

-Touch, hold, own, or even get close to a snake. NUH UH NO WAY! Consider me either dead or a freaking bird if I get stuck in a pit with those things. I even have a really hard time with lizards, because they are just snakes with legs, which makes them more crafty.

Good Morning Everyone! Do we all have our coffee?? Yes? I have had 2 cups already! 

Following the theme of Social! 

One blog I am absolutely smitten with Brianne of My Life As... and one blog you should definitely follow is Shana from Organized Chaos . These girls are ACA-AWESOME! 

1. When do I take time for me? 

Every weekend. Well during the summer not so much because after this post I am going to start working so that I am not too far behind this week with notifications and accounting stuff. But I do try and put aside time every weekend to unwind and disconnect from the world. I try to get blog posts in, scheduled, and posted and I also use the time to try and learn something new or find new blogs to follow. I also get an extreme amount of housework done on the weekends! Sounds silly but there is nothing more calming to me than cleaning the crap out of my house. 

2.What do I find my biggest weakness to be? 

Procrastination. I wait until the last minute every time, and that is my biggest fault. If we are talking like my kryptonite.....Iced coffee. It has taken me everything in my power not to cave and go to Starbucks for my Venti Iced Quad Hazelnut Machiatto, and I can never make iced coffee right at home. But mainly my weakness is procrastination. 

3. Biggest Attribute? 

I think this can be a weakness and an attribute, but I care too much. I care about what people are doing, what they think, and generally I care about my friends a lot. I am the type of person who if we are really good friends, will jump in front of bullets and cars to save you. When it's someones birthday or a special occasion I try to go all out or do something incredibly special for that person that I know only I can do. 

4.What is my favorite place to shop online? 

Amazon. I am a Prime member for a reason, 2 day shiipppiiiinnngggg!!!! Plus I can practically find anything I want on there. 

5.Where is my favorite place to kill time? 

Target or a bookstore. It is also a great place to kill your bank account should you chose to buy stuff. Which really isn't a choice in either instances.

Morning y'all. Hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend! I would like to take a quick moment to shamelessly promote my blog. Because that is how I roll.

There is really nothing too memorable... I mean all I did during the summer was watch hours of Full House, The Cosby Show, and PBSKids and eat Ramen Noodles until I hated them.

Sun Brewed Tea. Meaning teabags in that glass jug filled with water, sitting there brewing all day outside. I don't know why but it tastes different to me. Like the sun loves me and is providing me with the happiness of tea. My tea is made with love, from the sun.

3) What is your favorite summer show?
What is on during the summer... True Blood.

4) What is the best summer outdoor activity?
Wait... People go outside during the summer?? For fun?? this is me: 

Here in the sunny state of Arizona, you do not do outdoor activities unless you are forced, crazy, or up at the ass crack of dawn. Most of the time your pool is going to turn to the temperature state of bath water by noon, and any water park is going to be crowded with screaming children. So I like indoor activities, like scrapbooking in an air conditioned room....... with a bunch of people going through menopause.

5) What are your summer vacation essentials?
One thing you should know is that I am literally not allowed to take a vacation during the summer. I am not to even ponder it. Work is so busy that my life pretty much revolves around it. BUT if I were to take a vacation my must haves are easy. A good book, a pair of havaana flip flops, a fruity drink, and sunscreen/tanning oil based on my already level of lobster.

Morning Everyone! No breaks for the birthday girl here! Actually a tiny break, as I am writing this on what would now be last Sunday for this Sunday. #selfhighfive 

1) Who do I call when I need to vent?  Well if I am calling someone it is normally my mom. But a lot of the time I go on smoke breaks (even though I don't smoke) with my two best friends in the office. We all get a chance to vent for about 5 minutes and then back up to the office we go. Pretty sure those girls know everything about me.  2) Where do I go when I need alone time?  My bathroom. I know that sounds like a total parent move, but I have a dog who is scared of the bathroom. So I grab a book, light a candle and sit on the floor and read.  3) What is my favorite alone time activity?  I love to go to the movies by myself. I can go see the movie I want, have my own bag of popcorn, and just focus on the movie without people asking questions.  4) What is something that you guys should all stop and read right now?  Well.... I am just now getting back into reading on a regular basis. I should now be at least halfway through The Maze Runner, so you should probably pick that up before seeing the movie. I am all about Dysotopian novels like The Hunger Games or Divergent.  5) Who do I wish would read my blog that doesn't already?  Uuuummmmmmmmmm........... I don't know. My mom already reads it and that is about the only person in my family that I would want to. I talk way too much smack about the other people n my family.  Celebrities, maybe but then I would probably never know that it was a celebrity because they are not going to out themselves in a comment. And two of my absolute favorite bloggers already follow me. Whether or not they read my blog is a different story, but they follow me!  Time to disconnect and do something fun today. Go out and see the sunshine!! And May the Fourth be with you.  Happy National Star Wars DAY!!!! 

Sunday Social: Pet peeves

This has to be my favorite sunday social ever, because I have a lot of pet peeves. I mean a lot.  1.) What is my biggest driving pet peeve?  When people cut 5 lanes of traffic because they are either lost or don't know where they are going. OH wait no!!! People who do not know how to merge!!! In AZ a lot of our freeways require that you merge lanes or onto the freeway, and people do not know how to merge.  2.) What is my blogging pet peeve?  When people don't read what they are posting. Or don't use spell check. I understand that I am not the most grammatically correct person, but when your posts look like a 6th grader wrote them I will not read them. 3.) Biggest shopping pet peeve?  When I am shopping with someone and they insist on going down every isle. I know what you want and need, and you don't need to go down the isle with the chemicals. That and screaming children. I know it is uncontrollable, but still.   4.) What is your biggest general pet peeve?  When people leave time on the microwave. I HATE THAT!!!! Just clear the damn time by hitting the clear button.  5.) What is your most irrational fear?  Getting stuck in an elevator. I already stop breathing when I get in them now, but if I were to get stuck or if it were to fall... I am going to stop now.
